Hi, I’m Hannah — welcome to Big Apple Baby.
I never planned to start a blog. I planned to be a mom who had it all figured out.
Then my son Theo arrived, my carefully organized life turned into a blur of 3 a.m. feeds and Google searches, and I realized nobody actually tells you the real stuff. The forums are overwhelming, the “perfect mom” accounts made me feel worse, and half the advice contradicted the other half.
So I started writing things down: what actually worked for us in a tiny Brooklyn apartment, what was a total waste of money, and the messy in-between nobody posts about. Feeding struggles, the subway-with-a-stroller chaos, sleep (or the lack of it), and learning to read a label without spiraling.
I’m not a doctor and I’m not an influencer. I’m just a New York mom sharing the honest version, the one I wish someone had handed me in those first foggy weeks. If that’s the kind of company you’re looking for at 2 a.m. with a baby on your chest, you’re in the right place.
Pull up a (cold, forgotten) cup of coffee and stay a while.
— Hannah
